West Ukraine EDIH

West Ukraine EDIH is a European Digital Innovation Hub established to accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector organisations (PSOs) in the Western region of Ukraine.

The project aims to help Ukrainian enterprises integrate advanced digital technologies, boost global competitiveness, and implement innovative solutions centred on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, and Industry 5.0 principles.

Key Service Pillars:

• Test before Invest: Providing access to digital labs, testing infrastructure, technical expertise, and experimental developments.
• Skills and Training: Upskilling programs and specialised training modules for SME employees and public sector staff.
• Support to Find Investments: Advisory support in securing EU grants, venture capital, and private investments.
• Ecosystem & Networking: Integrating Ukrainian businesses into the broader European EDIH network, Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), and Horizon Europe programmes.

Role of AEI in the Project

NGO “Agency European Innovations” (AEI) acts as the Lead Beneficiary for Work Package 2 (WP2: EDIH Operationalisation and Capacity Building) and plays a crucial role in capacity building, analytical support, and regional engagement:

• Capacity Building & European Integration (WP2 Lead): Monitoring emerging technology trends (AI, Cybersecurity, Industry 5.0), taking part in “Train-the-Trainer” sessions hosted by DTA (Digital Transformation Accelerator), attending DIHNET Academy management trainings, and benchmarking European best practices.
• Digital Engagement Workshops (Task 4.1): Hosting specialized online workshops on digital technologies targeting SMEs and public sector representatives (2 online workshops per year / 6 online events throughout the project period).
• Expert Advisory & Consulting (Task 4.3): Delivering individual, short-term expert consultations on digital optimization for traditional SMEs based on Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) results.
