Scope & results

The aim of the project was to support the Tlumach Region by activating the local government to take action to implement energy-saving solutions and to improve the energy efficiency of public facilities.

This goal was achieved, among others by building the competence of local administration employees in the field of energy-efficient management of the Region. As part of the project activities, the District Energy Advisory Center was established in Tlumach. An integral element of the Center was the construction of a demonstration-pilot installation using solar energy in Translator and a website devoted to energy efficiency at the district level. In accordance with the assumptions of the project, a study visit to Podkarpacie was organized for representatives of the administration of the Tlumach Region in order to provide Ukrainian partners with the experience and best practices of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in the field of energy efficiency at the commune level. As part of the project, employees of the administration of the Tlumach Region from departments for energy saving, management of energy systems in public facilities, preparation of energy plans and audits, consulting services in the field of improving energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources were also trained.

The element summarizing the work of a group of Polish-Ukrainian experts was the development of the Energy Profile of the Mundatsky Region, the assumptions of which were presented as models for implementation for other regions at the Energy Forum in Translator, entitled “Implementation of solutions using renewable energy sources and improving energy efficiency”.
